This plug will work as designed. Honestly, I decided not to put another hole in my boat. All I need to do is open my access door and plug into my newly installed Promariner 2 bank battery charger cable. I was not sure if the AC plug is captured in the housing, preventing the cable from being pulled through the plug housing (this may be its design). If this was the intent of the design, then all I need to do is open my access door and prevent a 2" mounting hole in my boat. The connector plug is of great quality, if you need it it will meet you need.
